Science Fiction at its Best!

This is my favorite Star Trek series! It is very scientific- up to a point that is. I am like T’pol however , the Vulcan Starship Enterprise Science Officer, in that I do not believe we”ll ever be able to travel back and forth in time like they do in the series but then H. G. Wells did write the novel “The Time Machine” and like so many other things deemed scientifically impossible when first conceived , who knows? Science fiction writers do have a way of predicting future real science.
When it comes to science it pays to keep an open mind!
As for traveling faster than light such is also improbable if not impossible because of Einstein’s E=mc2. This equation says that as any mass approaches the speed of light that mass necessarily must get greater and greater and so requires a greater and greater amount of energy to push it to the speed of light.
Thus it would take infinite energy to get an infinite amount of mass to move at the speed of light. It follows that only light itself, because it is composed of massless photons, can travel at the speed of light!
But if space itself can be warped or shortened to something substantially less than the distance light travels in a second then you could seemingly go faster than light in that shortened or warped space at sub-light speeds such as one-tenth the speed of light. And of course we do know as Einstein proved, space itself is warped near very massive objects such as our Sun. So again, who knows?
At any rate I love the series in spite of its highly speculative aspects and especially the episode called “Carbon Creek”.

Good value for Blu-Ray, no issues

No damaged discs when it arrived, which is a huge benefit anymore. This takes up less than half the space of the individual season DVDs I had. There were no issues reading any of the discs.

Fast shipping, Blu-Ray appears to be good quality.

When this series first aired it was before DVR was commonplace and I had attempted to tape it via VHS VCR. For reasons I don’t recall, I was able to watch only about the first two, maybe three, episodes. Now I can watch it from start to finish with no commercial interruptions. This Blu-Ray series arrived very quickly and appears to be very good quality. I’ve played only season one, episode one, so far as a test and I’ve found no issues at all. I don’t consider myself a huge Star Trek person but this is a Star Trek series I’ve always wanted to view. Maybe because I was unsuccessful at taping it when it first aired.

Like having the hardcopy

Enterprise was a lot better than it is given credit for, especially season 4.
