    My 103 mother loved Andy Griffith. On the day that she died one of the episodes was playing. I will never forget how she went out happy to be watching her favorite show.

    Wonderful Series with Great Sound & Picture

    Great, sharp, clear black & white images on seasons 1-5 and good, natural color on seasons 6-8. Some of the episodes from Seasons 1, 2 and 3 include the original commercials, if you choose to view them. I was, however, disappointed that many of the commercials that were on the DVD collection were not included on this Blu-Ray collection. The commercials were made especially for each episode and linked the ad to the story. Lots of fun to watch. But despite these omissions, you can't beat the the down home feel of The Andy Griffith Show, and being able to enjoy it in this beautifully remastered set is something to be treasured.

    My Favorite Show of all. It will always be a staple in TV.

    This is probably the best show ever made! The folks in Mayberry are my kind of people all around. The antics, the events, the way things used to be. I'm a 1980s child, but this has to be my favorite show of all time. I can't help but flash back to my younger days, running around barefoot, bikes everywhere, respect for your elders, kids lined up drinking out of the water hose. I love visiting NC during The Mayberry Days Festival, I love the museum, just driving past the house in the show gives me such joy. Go ahead, just buy it, you won't regret it.
